Sea to Sky Stables Summer Kids Program.

Sea to Sky Stables is pleased to announce our 2004 Summer Kids Program. We are a family run business which began nine years ago, and our family love and affection for our horses is readily apparent and one we share with all our guests. Our staff is hand picked for their experience and friendly, outgoing personalities. Our guided horseback rides take you through coastal and temperate rainforests, across rivers, and provides you with the opportunity to view the spectacular wildlife of the Paradise Valley, such as the majestic Bald Eagle. We regularly sight deer, wolves, coyotes and the occasional bear.

Kids stay in our new, unique chuck wagon bunkhouses, adjacent to the worlds largest teepee, in groups of ten with one leader. The chuck wagon bunkhouses circle a large bonfire with stadium seating. All your kids need to bring is a sleeping bag and pillow for their overnight adventure. We offer full washroom and shower facilities and all meals and snacks are included.

Our Kids Camp introduces campers to the challenges and responsibilities of taking care of horses under the supervision of our staff. Mornings begin with wakeup at 7AM, breakfast and daily chores. The day is then divided into group rotations. Groups will participate in an introduction to horses and basic horse care, with riding lessons and trail rides to follow. Our lessons focus on building your kids skills both in the saddle and on the ground. Participants learn greater confidence, positioning and control. Other rotations include games and fun around the camp such as volleyball, horseshoe pits, scavenger hunt, mini golf, board games, swimming, hiking and soccer. Every night we have hay rides, campfires and fun and games under the worlds largest teepee.

On the final day after dinner campers will participate in a games day which we encourage parents and friends to come and watch. We also offer, at an additional charge, float tours down the Squamish River for those under 13 years of age and whitewater rafting trips for those over 13 years of age. Sea to Sky Stables offers a full size arena for lessons, rodeo clinics and horsemanship courses,. We are on 27 acres in the Paradise Valley only 45 minutes from Vancouver.

Dates for the 2004 Summer Kids Program Start July til Aug. Older Kids Camp (13 and older) start in July also. Cost per person is $300 with a 50% deposit due upon booking. The cost of the optional float tour for those 13 years or younger is $60, and the optional whitewater rafting for those over 13 years of age is $145.
